In the last few months I have noticed a decline in the news that cnn.com has been reporting. It wasn’t until I compared the headlines from cnn.com to bbc.com that I realized how ridiculous cnn has actually become. (Sexual incompatability in marriage)I was the most flabbergasted when I reviewed the whole page and saw that the article was the most read article in the ‘popular news’ category. Which means that cnn is only giving the public what they want to read. I know that the article was part of their living section, but it was still easily viewable from the article that I was reading at the time, (an update on the teen in texas who killed her family because they forbid her from dating) the red outlined section with the most viewed/most emailed/top searches boxes. This fulfills the stigma from other countries that Americans are unintelligent and uninterested in the more important current issues.
